A single-family home is a free-standing residential building. Single-family homes are designed to be used as a single-dwelling unit and are built for the specific purpose of rental living. These homes lie in fringe urban and suburban locations across the UK and generally consist of 2, 3 and 4 bed homes in communities of 50 – 200 houses.

Packaged Living launched its Single Family Housing business in 2020, delivering the same high-quality consumer experience to renters of single-family suburban housing that is currently enjoyed by residents of multifamily city centre apartments.

Packaged Living is investing institutional capital to create suburban communities comprising between 50 and 200+ homes. Its approach is two fold in both acquiring land to directly develop communities as well as forward funding portfolios from volume house builders across the UK.

Garden Style Homes
Garden Style Homes

Garden Style Housing communities are comprised of a mixture of apartments and townhouses. Generally located on the edge of town and city centres, they are ‘gateway’ homes between the urban Multi-Family Housing of higher density apartment buildings within city centres, and suburban Single-Family Housing of 3 and 4 bed family homes found in the suburbs.

Packaged Living launched Garden Style Housing in 2022. As with all Packaged Living communities, these homes prioritise high quality, professional management, optional furnishing, and technology-enabled amenities. The goal is to provide residents with comfort, security of tenure, and exceptional customer service.

These communities are typically situated close to local retail / F&B and commuting nodes and solve for the ‘halfway’ generation of renters, requiring larger living spaces, but wanting to remain connected to the benefits of town and city living, not yet wanting or needing to move out into suburban housing

Co-living communities consist of multiple studio apartments within one shared building where the vast majority of internal and external amenity space is communal. Kitchens, co working spaces, laundry rooms, gyms, cinema rooms and outdoor terraces are designed throughout the building providing residents with their own private and shared space.

In addition to the facilities on offer, the buildings benefit from a high service offering with regular resident events providing educational, leisure and networking opportunities for all.

Packaged Living launched its co-living strategy in 2025, with a view to deliver high quality, furnished and affordable studio apartments for rent. These co-living apartments are spread throughout London, ready to move into and perfect homes for those relocating for a new job, studying for a degree or working remotely away from the family home.
