As part of Packaged Living’s multi scheme partnership with asset owner and FTSE landlord Hammerson plc, we are working with Hammerson to reposition part of The Oracle in Reading.

The development will replace the former Debenhams store and Vue Cinema with a BTR led mixed use quarter that will complement the existing retail and leisure offer, providing hight quality new homes, co-working space and improved leisure facilities in the centre of Reading.

Proposals include extensive improvements to the public realm which will seek to optimise the riverside frontage and create a positive gateway to Reading Town Centre.

The project is a great example of how built to rent can support the evolution of retail assets through the diversification into sustainable mixed use destinations with increased footfall and vitality.
