MISSION
STATEMENT

We aspire to be industry leading in our approach to ESG integration within the Build to Rent sector. Our vision is to deliver buildings which support the transition to a low carbon economy, catalyse the circular economy, support biodiversity, meet local / place-based needs, improve air quality and maximise occupier wellbeing.

Strategy

In order to realise this vision, ESG practices and processes are fundamental to the delivery of our services throughout the investment, development and management stages of the property life cycle.

Invest

Ensure sustainability is considered from the outset of our involvement with a project:

  • Site selection- targeting brownfield sites and excluding all greenbelt sites
  • Physical climate risk- targeting sites within flood zone 1, and investigating feasible steps to improve flood resilience
  • Transport links – prioritising sites with low car dependency
  • Housing need- targeting sites in boroughs with less than five year housing supply

Develop

Delivering resilient and sustainable developments:

  • Designing and delivering fossil fuel free developments
  • Measuring and reducing the embodied carbon emissions associated with our projects through the selection of building fabric and materials used
  • Promoting circular economy principles throughout the design process
  • Providing on-site renewable energy generation where feasible

Manage

Promote, facilitate and monitor the sustainable use of homes by customers:

  • Focus on Community to drive inclusivity, mental health and physical well-being
  • Technology led approach to monitoring and communication
  • Full Home Demonstration and online user guides to facilitate optimum customer use

Packaged Living supports the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, all UN Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Underlying ‘Agenda 30’ are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which address the urgent call to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice and to protect our planet. The targets we have set for ourselves in order to meet our ESG commitments have been aligned with a number of these SDGs, but we have placed particular focus on the below:

CORPORATE
EMISSIONS

In addition to reducing the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with our investment, development and management activities, we are also committed to reducing the emissions related to our immediate business operations.

The business is co-located in a Central London office with our corporate shareholder, Fiera Real Estate UK, the majority of our business operational emissions are covered by our joint Net Zero Carbon (NZC) commitment, and so opportunities to reduce emissions are being actively identified and implemented. The remaining emissions are predominantly related to transport, and we are focused internally on monitoring and reducing those emissions on an on-going basis.
