Packaged Living submit planning for vibrant BTR scheme in Basingstoke

Packaged Living, in joint venture with Buccleuch Property, are delighted to have submitted a planning application for a high quality residential-led mixed used development located in Basing View, Basingstoke.  The scheme will bring a vibrancy and activity to the location, whilst complimenting the existing and future mix of use classes and supporting the sustainable regeneration of the wider area.

The proposals provide modern office space, 370 new rental homes and new external public realm in a key location within Basing View.

Resident amenity spaces will be created within the building alongside a managed programme of events creating a community with access to a variety of facilities including co-working spaces, resident lounge areas, a cycle hub, and bookable entertainment, kitchen and dining facilities.

The development would also include 7,000 sq ft commercial space, 124 car parking spaces with electric charging, integrated car club spaces and ample bike storage.

The creation of a new publicly accessible landscaped public space and roof terraces will promote biodiversity and help support residents’ and wider Basing View mental health and wellbeing.

With sustainability as a fundamental design criteria , the scheme focuses on creating highly sustainable homes with an highly efficient building fabric to minimise  energy consumption.  The building will include air source heat pumps, EV charging, car club spaces and, alongside the excellent proximity to town centre amenities and public transport, the promotion of non-car forms of transport .
